Station Taxis win Age-Friendly Business of the Year award
Last night we clinched the Age Friendly Business of the Year Award at the Sunderland Echo Portfolio Awards 2016!
The awards final was held at the Stadium of Light and it was a night of celebrations for Wearside.
We had tough competition and were up against the Bridges and Dalton Park for the Award, and we were delighted and proud to be announced the winners!
A huge thanks to Age UK Sunderland, who sponsored the Age Friendly Business of the Year category at the awards.
We would like to thank our customers who have traveled with us generation after generation and have supported their local taxi company – we wouldn’t have been able to do this without you all! Also our drivers and staff who go above and beyond to do everything they can to make our service as accessible, friendly and convenient for our elderly customers.
People don’t usually tend to hear the stories where our drivers and staff go the extra mile – taking in shopping, assisting customers into the doctors and hospital for appointments and providing extra assistance when needed. We are also aware that we may be the only form of door to door transport for our elderly and disabled customers, who enjoy the ease and accessibility of our service. Our drivers and staff like to provide a friendly face and support to our customers no matter their circumstances.
